New parents are some of the busiest people in the world. Babies outgrowing clothes at an astounding rate is something they aren’t really prepared for, adding to some really messy situations. Clothes that don’t fit, uncomfortable fabrics, not enough time to shop or return online orders and such! All resulting in too many beautiful clothes piled away in no time, and gifted to landfills.
Each box is a touch of magic to your baby’s delightful journey and a hug for our planet.

For a summer baby in Ireland, it’s essential to choose clothing that you can layer the little one in, light layers you can add and remove to keep up with the unpredictability of the Irish summer.
Opt for lightweight and breathable fabrics such as cotton, bamboo, or linen to help regulate the baby’s body temperature.
Avoid synthetic clothes as they can trap heat and make your baby sweat.
A typical outfit might include a short-sleeved onesie or bodysuit paired with soft cotton shorts.
Keep lightweight jackets or a light cardigan handy for the cooler evenings.
Start with a soft, long-sleeved onesie as the base. Top it with a warm sweater or cardigan and add a pair of leggings or trousers made from thicker fabrics such as fleece or wool to keep the baby snug.
For extra warmth, invest in soft, thermal socks and booties. A winter hat that covers the ears is essential to protect against the cold, as are mittens to keep those tiny fingers warm.
When heading outside, make sure to wrap your baby in a well-insulated snowsuit or bunting, and use a blanket or cover to shield them from chilly winds.

Ways to keep your baby’s clothes from getting dirty?
Dine with just diapers on, if it is Summer
Clothes will pile up anyway. So, what should your laundry schedule be?
Wash when you have a decent load, some prefer daily, some less often. Choose what works for you keeping in mind that washing and taking care of baby clothes to make them last longer is good for the planet.
Use a detergent with biodegradable ingredients and no harsh chemicals. Avoid bleach and skip the fabric softeners.Â
Steer clear of tumble drying baby clothes. Dryers use more electricity, produce microscopic tears and are generally not good for delicate baby clothes. Baby clothes are best hung out to air-dry.
As for temperature, do check the labels. We usually recommend washing at 30°C or 40°C.
